I've been storytelling since I could write and hold a camera, beginning with comic books, short stories, and movies. Those were my early attempts to connect with others through storytelling.
But I didn’t stop there! I’ve also gone on to write a direct short and theatrically-released feature films, produce TV broadcast productions, lead media communications for 4 major cruise brands delivering weekly content and stories to over 40 cruise ships and multiple offices. It was during that time I recognized a disconnect between art and marketing. Here I am an artist wanting to make another pretty image but struggled to actually get people to watch the videos we’d distributed.
As I searched for solutions and a better way I began to find that story and authenticity ‘sales’. People want to watch a video when they actually care..about the topic, person, and purpose.
As I discovered the amazing world of entrepreneurship online I found the same broken framework. There was either way too much of a marketing focus and no quality creative and story OR too much art and no marketing. Entrepreneurs would get frustrated trying to create and implement their own framework and would do so by hiring another average videographer, editor, or content creator...with no digital marketing or offer creation know-how and so the videos would not work. No goals met.
And that’s when it hit me...videos and content create impact and increase revenue when art meets marketing.
So, using proven content creation and digital marketing processes I crafted a new framework called Story Therapy. Where entrepreneurs can use their own story (their impactful message) to sell more authentically to their audience through quality content based on proven sales principles.
